I recognize that everyone has a different standard of personal hygiene....not everyone wears deodorant or should be required to do so. With that said....
On my 8 hour flight from Belgium on Monday, my sister and I had the pleasure of sitting next to and behind a few individuals who smelled as if they hadn't showered in days. Every movement of an arm evoked a gagging reflex on our parts. Are people who choose not to wear deodorant or antiperspirant immune to their own smells?
Consider this: Airlines provide pillows and blankets on flights for your comfort. They serve food to curb your hunger and drinks to quench your thirst. Why then, do they not deodorize the air? I am not talking about spraying some noxious scent into the air that will cause most to sneeze, but why not run the air of the airplane through a filter?

Corporate Accomodations...
On most of my projects I have lived in a corporate apartment in a gated community or something very similar.
On this project I had a choice of a "modular home" AKA a trailer or a house built in 1860. Notice the use of the word house and not apartment. I am not living on my own on this project, but with my colleagues....
We chose the 1860 house b/c it was available sooner that the "modular" home and quite honestly all of us (3) were sick of the Holiday Inn.
This house is at a perpendicular intersection of the two main roads in this "city". Every night I have 18 wheelers slamming on their brakes, bright lights and all, shining directly into my bedroom. It is pretty much a nightmare....but is it worse than hotel living, I mean MOTEL living?

Should there be a weight limit for airline seats?
I ask this question b/c two out of my last three flights I have had the pleasure of sitting next to individuals who had SEVERE issues when it came time to shimmy their bums into their seats.
Is it fair to ask people, like myself, to sit next to an individual who clearly does not fit in their seat?
Moreover, is it fair to ask passengers to "weigh in" for their particular seat purchase?
I am torn.
I am sick of sitting next to individuals who take of 50% of my seat, yet I somewhat empathize with those whose struggle with their weight and would be singled out if such an airline policy existed....

The Other 40%
Grilled Chicken Sandwiches or Salads make up the other 40% of lunch/dinner meals......McClure's was the lunchtime dining option today. I made the mistake of ordering Ham and Cheese one week and quickly learned that grilled chicken was really the only "safe" option. What came out was Ham shavings on a pumpernickel bun with cheese wiz.
I have also learned that "Grilled Chicken" comes in many forms in SE Ohio. Last week, I ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich that ended up being "steamed". It was foul.

6 inch Turkey on Wheat....ugh
I think I am going to turn into a Turkey Sub. Since May 7th I estimate that I have eaten a 6 inch turkey sub from Subway on average 2 times a week. Considering I travel Monday through Wednesday and have 5 meals that are lunch/dinner in nature during that time period, 3 out of 5 (60%!) meals at Subway is just way too much. Unfortunately, my alternatives are the Golden Corral, Bob Evans, Long John Silvers, McDonald's and Burger King. Fast Food is KING down here and my arteries and waistline can't take it! When did Subway become the best of the worst?

BOS to CMH + 2 hour drive...
Since the beginning of May I have been traveling to Southeastern Ohio. I fly into Columbus and then rent a car a drive 2 hours...it is brutal....You might ask what is in SE Ohio...not much...it is a whole other world complete with Double Wides....
